Breck is a partner in the firm’s real estate section, working on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisition and sale transactions, complex financing transactions, document preparation and lot acquisition transactions for residential subdivisions, and commercial lease drafting and negotiation.
Breck’s practice areas include general commercial real estate, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, real estate finance, development matters, and Delaware entity matters and opinion work. Breck regularly works with purchasers, sellers, borrowers, lenders, landlords and tenants. Breck’s clients include developers, investors, institutions, governmental agencies and instrumentalities, and not-for-profit entities. Breck’s recent matters have included: Representing a 501(c)(3) development entity in the ground leasing, financing and construction of an office building in a research campus; representation of a local financial institution in the leasing of a new retail branch location; representation of a governmental agency in the acquisition of land and easements for expansion of a governmental facility; local counsel to a lender providing acquisition financing of a strip shopping center; and various Delaware and cross-border opinion matters.
Breck is a past Chair of the Real and Personal Property Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, previously recognized as a “Top Lawyer” in Delaware Today magazine, and a recipient of the Delaware State Bar Association President’s Citation. A graduate of Dartmouth College and Widener University Delaware Law School, Breck is a past president of the Dartmouth Club of Delaware and resides in Delaware.
