Delaware hospitality group and Tarabicos Grosso client, Platinum Dining Group, has opened a second Taverna Rustic Italian restaurant, modeled after their popular Main Street, Newark location, at The Concord, the exciting new mixed-use community on Silverside Road near Route 202 in North Wilmington, Delaware. Taverna’s sister restaurant, El Camino Mexican Kitchen, opened a few months earlier, just steps away.
Tarabicos Grosso, and partner Scott Matthews, played a key role in negotiating long-term space leases for both restaurants. The firm represented the tenants, El Camino Partners, LLC and Taverna North, LLC, affiliates of Platinum Dining Group, in connection with the leasing of first floor retail space at The Concord.
Tarabicos Grosso was also instrumental in assisting The Buccini/Pollin Group, Inc. with the redevelopment of The Concord site, formerly known as Concord Plaza Office Park. Now one of the area’s premier mixed-use communities, The Concord features 340 high-end apartments housed in 5 attractive, 4-story buildings; 40,000 square feet of retail space, to include restaurants and other community amenities; and a new modern office building containing 60,000 square feet of premium office space. Partners Larry Tarabicos and Mike Hoffman led the legal team with respect to obtaining land development approvals for the project.
