Tarabicos Grosso was a proud sponsor of the OperaDelaware 2019 Spring Festival, held from April 27 to May 4 at the beautiful and historic Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware.
Held each spring, the Festival allows opera-goers to see two main-stage productions in a single weekend, spotlighting works that appeal to newcomers and lifelong opera fans alike. This year’s productions included the double bill of SCALIA/GINSBURG, composer Derrick Wang’s one-act opera about the friendship between Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia, paired with TRIAL BY JURY, Gilbert & Sullivan’s beloved courtroom comedy. Also presented was one of the most successful contemporary operas of our time, Jake Heggie’s dramatic DEAD MAN WALKING, based on the book by Sister Helen Prejean.
