Since the founding of Tarabicos Grosso in 2012, holiday giving has been a hallmark of our annual charitable efforts and a cherished tradition of the firm. For founding partner, Larry Tarabicos, the joy of giving to those less fortunate than him has been a constant and meaningful part of his life for more than 40 years. The importance of giving back to local community members in need took on an even deeper meaning this past year, as we saw countless families and small businesses devastated by the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. This holiday season, we are fortunate and grateful to be in a position to continue our tradition of charitable giving by contributing over $5,000.00 to local families and organizations impacted by the pandemic.
Some of the contributions included: paying to restore a gentleman’s driver’s license to enable him to begin a new job and get back on his feet financially; paying rent, water and electric bills for several families experiencing hardship; repairing a mother’s car, so she has reliable transportation upon her return to work; and paying veterinary bills to help a family care for their sick pet.
In addition, our firm once again contributed holiday meals to Operation Feed the Troops, an annual holiday event honoring local service members and their families.
We also “adopted” three Delaware families for the holidays. The Tarabicos Grosso team shopped for, wrapped, and delivered gifts, with the goal of bringing comfort and cheer to families experiencing medical and other hardships.
In an effort to support other local businesses, we also pre-paid $7,000.00 to local restaurants for future dining or catering services. In our own way, we were able to provide a bit of a boost to the businesses suffering the most during this pandemic.
We are extremely thankful to be able to serve our community during a year when too many Delawareans, despite years of hard work, find themselves in very difficult circumstances. On behalf of all of us at Tarabicos Grosso, we wish you and your families a happy and healthy holiday season!
