As we do most years, several members of Tarabicos Grosso, led by Scott L. Matthews, attended the DSBA’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. breakfast at the Chase Center. This year, Dr. Eddie Glaude, Jr., distinguished Princeton University Professor, was the keynote speaker, and his remarks covered the period in Dr. King’s life where he most struggled and grappled with the direction that our country seemed to be moving, and how he found the strength to persevere in his mission.
After the breakfast, members of the TG team — Scott Matthews, Pete Yingst, Sophia Tarabicos, Sam Biggs, Desiree Sulpizio, and Sydney DeNofrio — helped sort and organize hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds of clothes and accessories at the Friendship House clothing bank in Wilmington. Our firm often works with the Friendship House because they provide targeted and active assistance to members of the Wilmington and New Castle County community who are in need to housing and social assistance. They rely on volunteers and donations so that their mission remains free from the bureaucracy and burdensome restrictions that government funding can bring, and they can continue helping as many Delawareans as possible.
