This year, our firm had the honor of providing direct support and holiday gifts to 16 children across the city of Wilmington, as well as one disabled young adult. Delivery of all gifts required multiple car loads and coordination, but we finished just in time for Christmas!
Our gratitude goes to City Councilwoman Shané Darby, County Councilman Penrose Hollins, the St. Anthony’s Church for their help identifying families in need this year.
We also took the opportunity to celebrate the end of an exciting year for the firm and the beginning of the holiday season by taking our entire team to Cape May, NJ for an overnight trip! Our visit coincided with the lighting of the Christmas Tree at Congress Hall and the annual town Christmas parade. We were able to tour the town and sip cocktails at the Pier House and the Congress Hall outdoor pavillion, before heading over to Andrea Trattoria for a multi-course dinner. We shared a traditional Italian style coursed meal with pastas and antipasti, seafood and salads, and various grilled meats and vegetables, topped off with a classic tiramisu.
After dinner, we bundled up and piled onto a couple of quaint city trolleys for a holiday lights tour and carol singing around town. The very festive atmosphere had everyone in a great mood and really capped off the evening. The following day, we shared an excellent brunch with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the gorgeously decorated Pier House restaurant, just next to our hotel, La Mer. It was wonderful to see how everyone’s children had grown and to share in casual fellowship that can sometimes be missing from the typical busy workday. So glad that the team to gather together once again this year!
