Tarabicos Grosso, LLP was a proud sponsor of Vet Fest 2019 held this past Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Town of Whitehall in Middletown, DE. The annual outdoor festival brings together former and current military members with their local community and features fun, family-friendly activities including a 5K run/walk, a parade honoring veterans and Gold Star Families, a music festival, and food and refreshments. This year, five members of the Tarabicos Grosso team, Mike Hoffman, Scott Matthews, Lauren Otto, Noah Chamberlain, and Megan Hughes, and their families participated in the event’s 5K run/walk through the beautiful porch-lined streets of the Town of Whitehall.
This year’s event was particularly poignant, as it featured the national traveling exhibit, Remembering Our Fallen, a photographic war memorial honoring our country’s military Fallen from the War on Terror (9/11/2001 to present). Unlike brick and mortar memorials, Remembering Our Fallen is designed to travel and includes both military and personal photos.
Proceeds from the annual VetFest event benefit the local organization 22in22, founded by friend of the firm, Brian DiSabatino of EDiS Company. The mission of 22in22 is to promote awareness of veteran suicide and raise funds for the national organization, Stop Soldier Suicide. Learn more about the efforts of 22in22 here.
The Tarabicos Grosso family strongly believes in supporting our military families and is proud to join in the efforts of 22in22 and other local organizations to build partnerships between local veterans, their families, and the civilian community.
