Katie O’Brian is a paralegal in the firm’s commercial litigation practice group, assisting the firm’s attorneys on a wide range of commercial litigation matters. She specializes in the preparation of pleadings, litigation documents, and legal correspondence, and handles electronic filing in the Delaware Courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, and the Delaware Public Service Commission. In addition, Katie assists the firm’s real estate and land use sections on a variety of matters, including commercial real estate transactions, title matters, and property research.
Katie graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.A. in English and a concentration in journalism in 2007 and has a strong interest in research and writing. Prior to joining the firm, Katie gained a combined 10 years of law firm and professional experience serving as conflicts coordinator for two prominent Delaware law firms and in other capacities with a focus on research, writing, marketing, and client service. In addition to her professional experience, Katie is an accomplished pianist and enjoys playing a variety of classical and contemporary music in her free time.
